President: Ronald L. Bell
Mr. Bell received his B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Alabama in 1970. He was employed by Gilbreath Foster & Brooks, Inc., a consulting engineering firm, where he obtained the position of chief of engineering for their Birmingham office. Mr. Bell then worked for Rust Engineering in Birmingham for one year, at which time he left to become a co-founder of Sanford Bell and Associates (then named Consulting Engineering Services). Mr. Bell became registered as a professional engineer in February 1975 and as a professional land surveyor in the state of Alabama in January of 1977. He has other professional engineering registrations in the states of Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and West Virginia.
Mr. Bell is active in the Alabama Professional Engineering Society (past president of the Montgomery chapter, 1983-84). Mr. Bell is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, who served in the U.S. Reserves as team leader for the Ft. Rucker team of the 416th Engineer Command, Chicago, Illinois. One of the major functions of the Ft. Rucker team was to conduct environmental compliance assessment on reserve centers located in Alabama and Mississippi.
Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer: BILL N. SANFORD
Mr. Sanford received an associate in science degree from Walker Junior College in 1967 and a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Alabama in 1970. He worked for two years with the University of Alabama Civil Engineering Research Department. He was then employed by Gilbreath Foster & Brooks, Inc, a consulting engineering firm, for a period of two years as a project engineer. From there he went to Colonial Properties of Montgomery as a project manager for mall construction. he left Colonial Properties in July, 1974, as co-founder of Sanford Bell and Associates (then named Consulting Engineering Services). Mr. Sanford became registered as a professional engineer in the state of Alabama in July 1974. He also currently holds professional registrations in the states of Mississippi, Georgia, and South Carolina. He is registered as a professional land surveyor in Alabama and Mississippi. Mr. Sanford is a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served in the Alabama Army National Guard.
